How can i get marks off a white leather couch/sofa?
i realised that i sat on my leather couch yesterday with some new jeans on and it has left marks on it. Is there any quick and easy solutions that work? e.g. bi carb of soda, white spirit etc?
Please do not use hairspray as this could damage your leather and will be expensive to repair. It is not adviseable to use household products as they could cause more damage to the finish on your leather and are not formulated for this type of problem
The dye has recoloured your leather and generally speaking will not be removed with any cleaning agents. You need to use chemicals specifically formulated for the removal of dye transfer from leather once you have checked the type of leather you have:

If these methods do not remove the dye it is because it is no longer a cleaning problem and the dye has travelled too far into the finish on the leather. If this is the case the area will need recoloring and this is best left to a qualified leather technician as DIY products generally do not work and can cause damage.
On white leather you should also be using a very strong leather protector to help prevent the same problem again

Call around town at furniture upholstery shops. They usually sell small pieces for a low price as they’ve lottsa scrap. Good Luck
