The only one I object to is “The ‘scene’ look.”
I’m sorry, but that whole scene looked is way played out and girls don’t even do it right. If you genuinely have that style you probably wouldn’t call it “scene.” Scene is the word that kids who THINK they have that style use. So in other words, NOT.
And I’m glad you think Betsey Johnson is SUPER HOT, especially since I have thought she was SUPER HOT since I just about came out of the womb.
Most of the things you have mentioned have been “hot” for years, but people (i.e. teenyboppers) are just now starting to jump on the bandwagon, making them all become NOT.

For instance, Coach recently has come up with a new budget friendly collection called Poppy for Fall 2009. Brilliant colors and affordable price are the main characteristics of this collection. Poppy collection includes the shiny Spotlight Shoulder Bag, cute Rhinestone Spotlight and XL Sequin Spotlight as well as stylish Bonnie Tote and Mini Frame bag.
Bonnie Mini Frame is an unquestionably cute and stylish bag with its vintage shape, girly details like pleating and quirky hardware. Coated in leather with shiny patent leather trim, the bag is available in two colors, the lilac and the tangerine. Both of them are perfect for young girls, which give them the vibrant appearance. The loveliest design is the outside front zip with framed clasp closure. The two clasps are like the eyes of pretty rabbit with cuteness and naivete. Let’s move to its function. Sized at 9 1/2 (L) x 7 (W) x 2 3/4 (H), the ingenious design of inside zip pocket and cell phone/multifunction pockets enlarge its capacity. Open the zip-top closure; you can see the supple fabric lining. And there is a ring to clip an accessory or keyfob. With the 6 1/2” handle with 5” drop, it can be carried in the hand or on the shoulder. Such a gorgeous bag is only priced at $198.
