So, if you’re looking for a flirty ballet shoe that adds a little kick to your step without busting your budget, Xhileration is your best bet.
Biggest Name: Tory Burch ($95 – $235) Let’s face it: you say ballet shoe, you hear Tory Burch. Having taken the ballet shoe industry by storm, the circular, cross-like Burch symbol has become the mark of the trade. If nothing, Tory’s on the list for being the best known. While these flats run a bit pricier, you buy a little bit of the ballet shoe culture when you go for Burch. This trend-conscious brand has been seen on celebrities like Leighton Meester and Beyonce, Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Lopez. A classic American aesthetic, splurging for a pair of Burches will definitely add a little preppy-trendy skip to your step.
Most Classic: J Crew ($50 – $150) For clean, sharp ballet shoes at a reasonable price, J Crew is your best bet. I own a TB, for the first time, I made a note to myself, it is the newest clothesline I’ve ever bought, online! It fits me well (a size 10 instead of 8 – size doesn’t matter) and it is a good quality lined dress. I wore it for Easter, I’m gonna wear that same dress for Mother’s Day and I’ll be wearing it for a wedding in July.
I spilt grease on it, and I had it dry cleaned. It came back with a padding because the neck was scalloped, strap dress, and it comes right 2″ above my knees, which is my perfect length for a dress. Not too short (for a mini), not too long to cover my great legs. I just loved it!
I’ve worn Nicole Miller & other brands before, can’t remember much about wearing my last Nicole Miller, I did have one I copied exactly like it to wear for my son’s wedding & I added beads, but I had it made. They are shear, flimsy and can’t compare to Trina Burch is something I will always remember, like my first kiss! I wrote a review on the dress, and it was never posted. I wrote Zappo’s where I bought it from, and they apologized, but they still didn’t post it, the dress I bought (Hummingbird in color or style) was sold out.
