The Appeal Of Coach Designer Bags
What is it that makes every woman want a Coach bag? Why are they so popular? Is it trendy or quality or a mixture of both? In order to answer these questions we need to actually look into the history of the company a little bit and uncover some very surprising facts about the bag that every woman MUST have.
Coach was founded in 1941 and was inspired by all things, the baseball glove. The craftsmanship and quality so impressed the company founder that he was inspired to create his own legacy in what was a virtually untouched market at the time.
He took the cue from the workmanship on baseball gloves and transferred it over to the handbag. After his initial designs, he turned the manufacturing over to 6 artisans who handcrafted the first collection and history was made. An icon in accessories was born and a standard was set. From that day, Coach has signified both quality and elegance.
Coach continued its innovativeness in 1962 when Bonnie Cashin joined the team and designed a handbag that was inspired by a mere shopping bag. Once again, Coach took something that we see in our every day lives and made it something every woman walking down the street had to have. In 1973 they continued to stay ahead of the times and launched the Duffel Bag and then in 1979 Lew Franford joined the team to take them yet again to another level.
The Coach Craze continued into the 80′s when Coach launched their first catalog and their first Madison Avenue store. In the mid 80′s coach was acquired by Sara Lee enabling them to go to financial areas that they would not have been able to access otherwise. This allowed them to expand and go into creating a beautiful watch line and open their first international store in Tokyo. That era finished in the early 90′s with Coach going into a new market of outerwear that continued to contribute to the success of one of the most sought after brands on the market.
Coach roared into the 21st century by swooping up more big name designers, launching their website and continuing to go into more and more fashion areas and of course, all of this lead to them becoming a publicly traded company as the new century rolled in. Over the next decade, Coach continued to put out superb products and was able to open up incredible Flagship stores both across this country and internationally and they continued to push the envelope with their award winning designs.
Coach continues to this day setting the mark for what a great handbag should be. The bags are put together with the highest quality of leather and materials that are second to none. The beautiful double stitching and hand-finishing techniques used make this the best handbag on the market. The hand tag, the big C pattern that is shown throughout the product demands recognition and is the mark of pure quality that every woman dreams of having draped across her shoulder.
