How do I fix the bends/dents in a leather purse?
I have a leather purse that was stored under something in the basement. Now it has a few shallow bends/dents on the leather. None of them pierce the leather or look severely bent. The leather is soft.
Is there a way I can lessen or fix the damage? Should I stuff the purse with tissue paper so that the bumps go away and put it in a steamy bathroom? (I can’t think of what else to do…)
The basement is quite dry — the purse is not musty at all, and it quite new.
Instead of using tissue paper, place crumbled newspaper in the purse and allow it to sit for several days. The newspaper will help remove any musty odors and absorb any excess moisture. Then gently wipe the exterior with liquid saddle soap (used on nurse’s shoes) and polish with carnuba shoe wax. If the dents have not lessen, line it with tissue paper and place a bag of lentils between the tissue paper to help force the purse back into its original shape. DO NOT USE A STEAMY ROOM! This will cause the finish to be marred with white stains & will leave you with a bigger problem.

How do you clean a Coach vachetta leather purse?
My Coach purse ( Vachetta Leather ) care instructions say ” Not compatible with Coach Leather cleaner , to clean , use a damp soft cloth.
Somehow , I got a couple of black smudges on it , and I don’t know how to get them off. The damp cloth , of course , does nothing . Its a very light peach colored leather. If anyone has any suggestions , please help!
I went to the Coach store and they help you take out any stains, the sales girl did half on my purse, so just take yours in and see if they can help you.
