Which is better for High School – a messenger bag or a tote bag?
I’m starting High School soon and I’m not sure which is the best to get. I have heard of just wearing a messenger bag all day around school so you are not late to class and stuff. The thing about the tote bag is it is sometimes a nag because it falls off your shoulder or starts to really hurt on one shoulder. Just need some help on what you think. Thanks! 
It’s completely a personal preference.
Some people like the messenger better because you can add more stuff to it, it has more pockets to put things, and you can take it anywhere with you.
However others like the tote because you can also take it everywhere with you, it comes in more designs, and you can get them in many different sizes. Oh, and you can also find some totes that have pockets inside of them.
I think that both of them would start to hurt your shoulder after a while.
If I were you, I’d make a list of the pros and cons of each to help me decide which one would be best for my needs.

it’s hard to explain but a lot of teen girls have them.
they don’t really have a definite shape besides a u-shape i guess.
in other words a messenger bag is always a square no matter what you put into it.
but these, when you but something square in it it looks square.
