Green Anaconda Information And Facts
If you don’t know which are the current largest invertebrate in the world are, it is the Green Anaconda. The Green Anaconda whose scientific name is Eunectes Murinus: a little bit hard to pronounce like all scientific and biological names; is the largest snake that you will find in the world.
The Green Anaconda is a classified Reptalia and comes from the order of Squamata. It belongs to the family of Biodae,of the Eunectes genus and from the species of Murinus, hence the biological name Eunectes Murinus.
The statistics of a Green Anaconda is an average length of 29 feet, usually weighs about 550 pounds and has a diameter which is a little more than 12 inches. Green Anacondas are mainly found in the swamps, marshes and slow moving rivers of the northern part of South America, the thick jungles of Amazon and Orinico Basin. In the United States there are now these types of Anacondas, however, the majority are of course kept on the zoo and there have been no report yet of such green animal being found on Florida swamps yet.
Green Anacondas get their name from their skin color. The color of their skin is on the darker side of green, with black oval-shaped patterns spotting their backs. The sides are uniformly splattered with black spots that have a yellow center. Indeed, with their smooth and shiny skin, they are attractive creatures to look at from afar. This unique coloration helps them to remain hidden away in swampy and marshy habitats.
Apart from the skin color, the color of their nostrils and eyes are adapted to their living habitat. The eyes and nostrils are on the top of their heads. This enables them to breath and simultaneously watch out for their prey, while keeping their body hidden underwater
Like all other anacondas, the Green Anaconda emits an unpleasant and pungent smell. To be precise, this is musk from their anal glands. Experts say that this smell keeps small, poisonous organisms at bay.
Green Anacondas feed on big animals ranging from capybaras, deers, peccaries and even jaguars. But this does not mean that they do not feed on smaller preys. They gobble up fishes, birds, sheep, and other aquatic beings. These make for a light meal once in a while. The bigger the prey – the more rest they earn for themselves.
The future of Green Anacondas is pretty bleak, their greatest threat being man. People kill them usually out of fear. Another reason for the decline in the number of the Green Anacondas is the leather business. Trade of anaconda skins is prevalent in the areas where they are found.
Also, destruction and degradation of their habitat, along with expansion of land for agricultural purposes has added to bringing down the numbers of Green Anacondas drastically. Most importantly, remember that Green anacondas can be found in the United States – have you visit them lately? If not you can see them across the internet in quite a few authority sites!

Is there a spray or something I can use specifically for leather ?
This will depend on what type of leather you have on your couch. If it is an aniline style leather (one that absorbs moisture) then you will need dyes to recolour
If you have a pigment coated leather then you will need ot use pigments (special leather paints) to restore the colour and it will then need refinishing.
Most DIY kits sold are not produced by leather specialists so generally are a waste of money or can do more harm than good.
