Why was Monica Lewinski viewed as a celebrity after the Clinton sex scandal?
She wrote a book, appeared on Oprah, was interviewed in many magazines, was a spokes person for Jenny Craig, became a purse designer, hosted a television show and even endorsed a cigar company. Democrats loved her yet they rip into Sarah Palin for expressing her views on abortion and for having a pregnant teen daughter. Am I the only person here who see’s double standards going on here? Monica lewinsky is human yet Bristol Palin is evil for having a baby out of wedlock?
I’m a democrat and I don’t love Monica Lewinski. She became a celebrity because suddenly the whole world knew who she was. Nothing more. She is completely unrelated to Sarah Palin. What do the two have in common? For you to say this is a double standard is ridiculous. Democrats don’t agree with Sarah Palin’s politics.

Tips For Buying a Purse For a Teenager
Buying a designer purse can be expensive for an adult, let alone a teenager working a minimum wage job. Many designer bags by such designers as Prada and Coach can cost several hundred dollars for just a low end style. But with peer pressure and the desire to have the latest fashion trends, many parents give in to their teenager’s wishes and shell out ludicrous amounts of money for these purses.
So what is a parent to do? How can you find that happy medium between spoiling your teenager and giving them a purse as a gift that is both trendy and reasonably priced?
One place to start is online. There are many designer handbags that can be found on sale on either Ebay or wholesaler discount websites. However, be aware that there are an inordinate number of knock-off and fake purses floating around. So when buying online you will want to make sure the retailer or auction seller has a certificate of authenticity.
Many designers such as Coach will sell their purses at significant discounts at outlet malls and factories. The trade off is that these purses are considered by the manufacturer to have irregularities or the stitch work/materials aren’t as high quality as you will find in their regular stores. However, it is almost impossible to tell the difference and your teen ager will surely never be able to tell.
Some popular lines that your teenager may be interested in and are reasonably priced include:
BcB Girls by Max Ariza. These are more moderately priced purses that are similar to Ariza’s popular “Bon Chic Bon Genre” line. Most purses in this line can be had for well under $200.
LeSportsac is prominently featured on various television shows and is quite popular and well known among many teenage girls. These purses are designed by popular celebrities and run between $75-150.
Dooney and Bourke is a little more upscale and closer in style and price to many designer purses. One of the more upscale models can run around $600. These are also very popular among teenagers and young celebrities alike.
Finding a chic purse at a reasonable price that will make your teenager happy isn’t as difficult as it would seem. Be sure to use the advice above and you are sure to find something she will love!
